Nashua, New Hampshire
World War II Honor Roll

The Honor Roll Project is an effort to transcribe and photograph military honor rolls.  The transcribed names make the soldiers available for search engines, so that descendants and family members can find them on the internet.  It is a simple, but very rewarding project.  If you would like to participate, leave a comment here, or an email at vrojomit@gmail.com

Comments from family members:

"I never knew my ancestor was in the Civil War until I Googled his name and found it on your blog! Thanks so much for your project - Charles Chase" 13 Dec 2011

" Thank you! Aina Bernier- daughter of Ernest Albert Bernier, Jr." 27 Jan 2011

  4. Heather, I noticed you listed my village as "Greenhill," when it is actually "Greenhills." Thanks for all you do! Robert

  10. Heather: I plan to transcribe the Wallingford, CT WWII Memorial. I forgot I had only submitted the photo and did not transcribe. I'll make it a goal to have it done for Memorial Day 2015 if no one else has already volunteered to do it.

    1. John, maybe you and Jeanne Bryan Insalaco can work on it together. She photographed it, too (see the Veteran's Day 2014 post of links). It looks like a BIG job!

    2. Heather, here is a link to a post about a Korean War Memorial in Sophia, West Virginia. Only one name was listed on the memorial, which included several items, including benches. You can post a link to it whenever or not at all if it really doesn't fit in with the honor roll theme.
